About Me:
I was born into the Cecil Shaw family as Cecil L. Shaw III before legally becoming Barack D. Obama Shaw through an inspired vision in 2013. President Barack Obama brought a hope into the world that I had never seen or experienced before and this was the catalyst that had me legally change my name because I believe that people today need that same type of hope.
I have a rich family legacy in music. My grandfather Bro. Cecil Shaw Sr. was mentioned in the Ray Charles Autobiography and the Ray Charles major motion picture released in 2004. He was a renown gospel artist in the 1950's that Ray Charles admired.
My father, Cecil Shaw Jr. pursed a music career and performed on Soul Train in 1974 and produced music on Big Walter Price (Saba Records) 1985 and many others artists.
Following in their foot steps, I studied music and taught private lessons to aspiring artists. I was the State Chairperson of the Ring of Truth Political Party and I ran for Mayor of the City of Alameda CA in 2022.
I am really excited about the opportunity to make a difference in the area of politics. Currently, I am running for Governor of California in 2026 and my goal is to bring harmony and confidence to the state of California. My background as an Army Reservist and training to be a Sergeant is the cornerstone of my leadership and execution of big objectives.
I stopped complaining and I started campaigning. I believe we are all created equal and I stand for all people.
Political Parties are the highways that get us from point a to b. I don't love the highways. I use the highways and love the people. Let's stop fighting over parties and start supporting new candidates. I am an American who has primarily voted Democrat and I am not a Democrat. I am a American who is on the Democratic ticket. When I travel to other countries, I introduce myself as an American and I am recognized as an American.
Let's truly be the United States of America and not divide States of America.
